Just been offered a Suunto Ambit watch , not the Ambit 2. It's second hand in great condition. £120. Is that a fair deal? I've been looking for a while now for a decent watch to track my routes , gps. Altimeter , times etc etc.

Worth a punt or should I hang on and go for the 2?

That seems a fair price. I've got an Ambit 1 and it's a great watch. There's not a huge amount of additional functionality in an Ambit 2 and I think it's more to do with triathlon type stuff. The Ambit 3 which comes out this month on the other hand has lots of exciting new toys! =o)
