Love the hour record, pleased it has become fashionable again. Well worth reading "The Hour" by Michael Hutchinson about the sheer lunacy of the regulations. One example of his difficulties, in his aerodynamic tuck he couldn't even see the lap timer at the end of the track as it was too high up.

Good to see a lesser known name getting onto the honours board before the big guns get involved. I've heard Alex Dowsett's name mentioned - hope he gets his arse in gear before Wiggo, fabs or Martin do, it's still low hanging fruit.

Anyone know who holds the women's record ? Presume that has undergone similar rule changes and could be a good opportunity for someone. Particulary as many of the problems for women's cycling don't seem to be there on the track

Brandle showed his class at the Tour of Britain. I doubt that this is the last we'll hear of him.
