Off to Swanage tomorrow - Probably Boulder Ruckl / Guillemot ledge.

Weather forecast great (sunny + north easterly wind) but it's been raining the past few days.

Any advice as to how long it will take to dry out sufficiently?

thanks

I expect the rock will be dry by 10ish. The grassy top outs may stay wet a bit longer and be more treacherous than usual, and the footpath along the top of the ruckle is very wet. I suggest boots or wellies. Have a good day. Ed

Thanks for the advice.

We had a wonderful day at Guillemot Ledge, lovely and warm and the rock was dry.

In reply to kylo-342:

Guillemot is a good choice after rain as many of the top outs aren't muddy. In the winter it takes at least a couple of days sun for the nastier top outs to feel less horrible. Conversely prolonged very dry weather in the summer can also make the top outs worse - the embedded rubble becomes looser - a tiny bit of moisture seems to hold it together more.
