Not for winter stuff as l own a pair or Nepals. Will be using them for walking and mountaineering below the snowline. Ive had 3 pair of charmoz over the years but they always end up not being fully waterproof.
In reply to skizxi: I'd try them both on, and if that doesn't help I'd flip a coin as there isn't much between them. I've always been happy with my Charmoz - they filled up with water a few weeks ago, but that's 'cause rain was trickling down my legs rather than leaking
I had a bit of small toe rub when I first got the Charmoz boot. I played around with sock combinations and it's not a problem now. They are great on scrambles , easy climbs and winter walking. I found my feet were reasonably warm.
