Hello folks,

I'm booked to summit (fingers crossed) Mount Elbrus in July and am looking for tips on base layers - I get hot very easily and hate it! Wondering if anyone has any particular brands they love which wick very well?

Thanks in advance for any help

Lizzie

In reply to Busylizzy85:

Anything with Cocona (activated carbo, usually coconut) in it wicks brilliantly and is anti bacterial so non smelly too. Lowe Alpine Dryflo uses it and is great if you run hot. Rab MeCo includes it but also has Merino wool so is warmer (but maybe at altitude?). Sprayway Eclipses and ME Cruxes used to use it but don't now, but maybe you can find some still on sale? Marmot have it listed on their website as one of their fabrics, but don't appear to have it in anything.
Cheers,

Iain
