Hi,

I am looking for a budget entry level cyclocross bike to use over winter and have a dabble at some local races. I am 180cm so looking for a frame size of 56/58cm and looking to pay less than £200. I am in Durham and would be willing to travel to most places in the NE/NW/Yorkshire. If you think you might have something then please get in touch.

Budget bikes in this range tend to be very heavy and almost certainly not up to the rigours of cyclocross.

That's why I am trying secondhand rather than new. What sort of price do you think I should be looking at?

Have you got a mountain bike? Many local races allow mountain bikes so if you just want to dabble that's worth checking out.
