Just been in the outdoors shop and saw large range of inflateable tents. Are they any good.? For use out of car so weight not an issue.
I have an inflatable girlfriend which works quite well.

I've got one of these

and I love it. Mind you, I've had it a few years now and it was nowhere that much. Certainly wouldn't pay 700 quid for it!

I was looking for a picture of the 1970s version my friends parents had. Canvas with poles made from plastic coated canvas maybe? Used a car tyre footpump. Quite an early 2 pole crossed dome design. Spent a few nights in it quite happily.

I work in said outdoors shop and one of the cool features is that the tubes are triple lined so predatory birds perching on your tent at night do not pierce your 'poles'.

Bit heavy and pricey though for what they are, 5 more minutes and a traditional tent will be up . It's also hard work blowing up the big ones.

I recall using an inflatable tent as a youth (hence new technology might be a lot different) and being highly amused when the "poles" exploded suddenly. IIRC heavy and much slower to put up than any tent I've had since.
