I have heard about an interesting technique for rigging an anchor, which involves the haul bag being lifted up in the event of a fall, to 'use up' some of the impact force. Does anyone know what this setup actually looks like, out of curiosity?

Hang the haul bag a bit below the belay and run the rope down through the master-point karabiner and tie it to the bag. With a very light bag you can run the rope through a belay device or use a Munter.

This is for soloing right? I used it on my solo trip of Washington column yosemite, tie in to the bolts( as a backup), then down to the masterpoint with some slack when you fall the bags lifts up until the main anchor catches you. I even placed a screamer on as well.
