converting twist lock poles?

i will be getting a pair of fancy Z folding poles at some point but in the meantime has got a functional and inexpensive way of converting my twist lock poles to a "flick lock." they're Leki Makalu softline soft antishock, lightweight aluminium , the top sections approx. 16mm diameter.

I'm absolutely sick of them collapsing on me!

I have converted 4 or 5 sets of pole to flick lock. You need the BD flick lock parts [obviously!] and the ability to drill/mill a slot in the pole. Then remove all the twist lock parts, except the 'bung' in the top of the lower section (!_) it retain crush strength.
