Anyone used one and have any thoughts and recommendations? I know they are expensive to buy, but what about makes/running costs/service costs/longitivtiy/etc? Overall worth it?

Rented a Haibike (xduro rx I think) for a day in Italy last year and it was very impressive on the Dolomite trails with the Bosch electric assistance especially in turbo mode! That bike had fully suspension and high spec components, and was apparently €3600 though.

I think in the UK, Haibike models start at about £1800 which is three times what I've paid for Mt bikes in the past, so would have to be serious decision. Given the state of my knees though means I may have to give up cycling soon if I don't find something to ease the strain so maybe worth it.

Only really interested in something for general off road/rough track capability - nothing too extreme. Front suspension and disc brakes are the min requirements though if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks.
