I don't suppose anyone knows what condition the three Oman via ferratas are in? The most recent dated reference to them that I can find is that they were 'out of service' at the end of 2013, having been closed for maintenance in early 2012. However, I've also read that the Grand Canyon ferrata is 'operational' on a few websites, but the pages were undated.

Does anyone have any recent practical experience of them?

There were people doing the "grand canyon" one just before Christmas. They seemed to be getting on ok.

That's good to know, thanks. I'd hate to drive five hours and find it's in a bad state. Was hoping to get on Snake Canyon but I'm struggling to find any information on it post-2012. Might make a call to the guy at Muscat Diving & Adventure Centre who's mentioned a lot in the VF articles, or failing that go and have a look at it in person.
