Cord has frayed on mine, would a quick link or maillon fit for a more durable solution? Maybe the pinky rest would need a bit of opening up? I have mine set to Large.

I tried this, but it hangs at an awkward angle, so I put cord back through it.

How about a thin stainless steel rope swaged on in a loop.
