No idea to answer your original question, but in the interest of debate... It puzzles why they sell rock shoes in pairs given that a) nobody has matching feet, b) rock shoes require a precise fit, c) they are very easily made as an individual item and d) they would be easily to sell singly (ala ice axes, which are invariably used in a pair and sold individually). Anyone get any idea why they're sold in pairs, or is it simply inertia?
