Has anyone been to the Otztal area in the summer? I was considering taking the family in August, and it looks like there is plenty of friendly crags: http://www.oetztal.com/climbing
In reply to HakanT: Very friendly. Outdoor climbing walls complete with picnic tables, in situ topo noticeboards, and bolting that makes the average climbing wall feel wildly runout. Stiff grades though.
Support this ... should you look for something higher up for a daytrip or two due to heat you could look into the crags in the muttekopf area, at around 2000 m asl. Climbing on conglomerate, and again very family friendly.
