Have an opportunity to go to Roca Verde in Northern Spain. In my dotage I'm a bit limited in what I can do, so I'm just wondering whether anyone's been and if so whether they think the grades are soft or hard. I don't want to get there and find I'm limited to 4s and 4+s.

Hi Rog, we thought the grades were on the hard side. That said there's lots of crags and routes of all grades and not too many climbers.

I've just come back from a fortnight trip to this area. I'm going to do a trip report and upload some pcis on here when I've a bit of time, but I thought it was great. Excellent rock, very pretty place, super climbing. It's pretty technical and the grades are a bit, well just old skool. Halfway through our trip I pulled a finger so was reduced to 5s and I still really enjoyed the climbing - the easy routes were still loads of fun.

It is very quiet.

Thanks Sean, though not what I wanted to hear.

Personally I think it would be a great place for the lower grade climber - especially one that was crag-bred rather than wall-bred.
