La Sportiva Xplorer or Five 10 Tennie Mid? Your views, please. I want to be able to walk into huts from the road and wear until I need the PA's. on mutli-pitch Alpine rock (Max. AD+).

You may have better suggestions even?

Another vote for the explorer. If you want a mid boot, they do an explorer version, but also a leather version which I used for a 6 day via ferrata trip straight out of the box with no soreness at all. Doubt I'll buy anything else ever again until they inevitably replace them with something worse...
