I am going to inverness with the family over the summer and the ruthven boulder looks to be a nice bouldering spot. I was wondering if anone has a topo they could send me as I cant find anything for it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure if there is a topo at present.

You may have already had a look at the stone country site but here is a link

There isn't a topo but there is a useful link to a map with the areas boulders marked on it and a good wee vid.

Hope its windy when you go!

The majority of the problems are contained in Bouldering in Scotland which you can pick up in Tiso, Cotswolds and the like. The descriptions are a wee bit off / unclear in places but it's a cracking boulder and if you have a good recky on youtube and vimeo you'll find quite a few beta vids!

Ruthven is the best bet to avoid the dreaded midge as its quite exposed and likley to have a breeze.

It's a cool wee spot of boulders, some really good problems.

I don't have a topo but like Hamfunk mentioned, I'd say take some smidge/repellant

Me and friends spent some time there last summer and they can be little bastards!!!

Hope it's nice weather, enjoy!
