Ecrins Conditions?

We are going to the Ecrins last week July / first week August (Ailefroide).

Recent weather forecasts there look like it's pretty warm. I've also just checked La Chamoniarde for that area, I guess it may be similar in the Ecrins.

Regarding conditions on the mountains & glaciers, does anyone have any recent first-hand experience?
