Has anyone climbed the West Ridge of the Dent de Tsalion from the Tsa hut then continued on to the Bertol hut? I know you can do the Aiguille de la Tsa from Bertol but wasn't sure if the route was reversible.
I was in a party that did this route 11 years ago although I opted to sit at the foot of the Tsa and admire the view after the ridge. We dropped down the glacier and out to Arolla but the hut was right there on the right at the top of the glacier. Can't imagine any problem with this approach to the Bertol.
I did the and as the last poster, up the West ridge, then the aiguille de la tsa and back down the glacier to Arolla. I can't imagine an issue with diverting to the Bertol instead.
No problem. Short & easy descent from the summit to the glacier. Don't take the col de la Tsa but go east of the pointe de bertol. The passage through the rocks is equipped with chains.
