Hi me and my partner are going to Thailand at the end of October. Going to spend about a week in or around Phuket, any idea of the best climbing areas, people to go with (to use there boats I guess there is some sort of organised thing?) And best areas to stay?

Cheers, Tim and Hannah

In reply to timmyhobby:

Take a boat from Phuket to Koh Yao Noi and head to Tha Kao village. It's a tiny place and there's a small climbing shop. The guys there will be able to take you to the Northern tip of then island, and also to some nearby islands, with great DWS. If you have hear with you it's definitely worth a stop at the grateful wall too...amazing sport climbing in the 6s from a bamboo platform over the sea.

you could then take the "ferry" to Ao Thalane and head down to krabi or Ao Nang, from where you can take a longtail to Tonsai. Once there head to any of the climbing shops and they should have DWS trips going out a few times each week.

Cheers, good advice. I like the sound of the bamboo platform ☺
