Hello, I am on the hunt for an exciting and cheap destination that would make a good scrambling/ridge walking holiday. We are looking to get out to somewhere in Europe during the first week of November for a week. Looking for somewhere that might still be a bit warm (not too wintery!), with some exciting ridge walks and maybe a bit of scrambling... any suggestions? Many thanks!

Hmm, how about:

Cyprus (I've been there in October, very pleasant, hot and sunny for beach, good temp in the mountains)
Olympus National Park, Greece (also been in October to climb Olympus, very nice climate at that time)
Canary Islands (most of them have very interesting geology - I've been to Tenerife in Nov and climbed Teide, which was hot and sunny, loads of options to explore other areas)

Whilst the Costa Blanca may be best known for great beaches and easy access cragging, the ridges and walking are pretty amazing too. Check out a couple of our blog posts:

Hope that's helpful.
