We are reluctantly having to sell our beloved van after 6 happy years together. We bought "George" (the van) when we first had our son and wanted to be able to carry on climbing year round and it has been brilliant for this.
It's the perfect setup for keen climbers:- In summer you crank up the fridge and can enjoy cold beer on the return from the crag (out of the midges), and in winter you can crank up the heating and relax in a warm environment whilst everyone else is fighting over the bunkhouse facilities!
It is a 2.5 Tdi automatic van from 2003 with 96,000 miles on the clock. It was professionally converted into a full camper by Elite Camper Conversions in 2009.
We have used the van extensively all year round, and it comes with all the essentials for winter use - Propex gas heater, thermal silver screens and winter tyres fitted.
The conversion includes a pop-top which sleeps 2 kids or 1 adult, rock'n'roll bed with 3-point seatbelts for 2 people, 2 swivel captains seats, fridge, 2 ring stove, sink and full electrics running off a leisure battery.
Also included in the sale is the fixed Fiamma bike rack, a full size spare tyre, and a full spare set of summer tyres.
Full service history available, never had any issues with the MOT. The timing belt was changed 2 years ago.
Please note the pop-top is slightly warped, but this is purely cosmetic and it doesn't leak. Apparently this was a common issue with Reimo roofs from this era. There is also some slight delaminating of some of the cupboards. Otherwise its in great condition for its age.
We are looking for around £12,500 but are open to reasonable offers.
