My friend adores the mountain climbing. I am in Colorado now and I will not see him on Christmas. I want to send a present. I’ve not decided yet what is better the flashlight or the head lamp. What manufacturers you know that make quality items? Thanks for any your thoughts..

Both headlamps look like good, but how they will be in practice, I do not know..

Can you be sure they've not already got a headtorch? If not sure get a petzl e-lite. As it makes a great backup or emergency headtorch. Ie: would be appreciated as a gift whether or not they already had one.
