Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has a set of these and if so what they thought of them.

Thinking for winter/alpine but obviously trad too.

Given their diameter do they hold up to a winter bashing on granite!?

Any other thoughts?

Thanks,
Stuart.

In reply to greylag: I've got a pair. Used them mainly on WI. No signs of wear so far. The dry treatment works well as they don't wet out too quick. I find them nice handling ropes

Thanks. You back up what I've read and I've seen them relatively cheap on a website. I don't want to miss out on a bargain!

8.2 is slim which and is a few mm thinner than I was originally thinking of buying but they'll do the job I'm sure.

Cheers

I'm sure you won't be disappointed with them.

I've had a pair for a couple of years now. Not had loads of use but really happy with them. Seem very soft compared to other ropes, seem to clip well and tangle less.
In reply to greylag:
I've not owned a pair but three of my friends have. All have used them mainly for rock and mixed climbing. They have found the sheath to catch easily and that they have worn very quickly.

I would not buy them.

Thanks for the responses and the offer but I've decided to give them a go even though a response was pretty against them.

If they're not great I won't get them again..guess that's how it with most things!

Thanks
