Evening
Any tips on gluing yeti gaiters to Scarpa boots?
What glue?
A few blobs of glue or thin strip?
I'm a bit worried the gaiters might tear when I try to get them off for summer.

Thanks

Ive used silicone in the past (the kind of stuff you put between the bath and a tiled wall), seemed to work pretty well

I seem to remember using seam grip. It doesn't fully stick like superglue, more just increase the friction making them less like to pop off. Superglue works for a bit but a day of deep snow will normally break the bond so i wouldn't worry too much about them never coming off again.

How about skin glue (BD Gold label)?

I'm selling some Colltex skin glue, you'll find it if you look at my recent threads.

Apparently it's good for yetis, though I've not used it for that myself.

Shoe Goo might be worth a try - similar to Seam Grip but cheaper.

Cheers, Ross.

THE glue to use is ShoeGoo. I've used it for decades for Yetis and it both sticks the rand to the boot and is an excellent for repair or for building up wear points as a preventative measure.

You will find lots of other jobs for it too.

It is no problem to remove the gaiter when you need to.

ShoeGoo comes in black too, which is handy.

100% satisfaction................

I've used super glue on lots of different boots and it's worked really well. The gaiters also come off easily when needed too.

Yeti Gaitors are brilliant On multi day trips I carry a couple of the mini super glue ampules from the likes of B&Q.
