I'v had a pair of scarpa mantas for about 10 years, and they now fit my feet beautifully, but the soles are beginning to look worn. They have become so comfortable with wear that I'm really reluctant to start again with a new pair when they eventually go, so I'm considering resoling, but I'm wondering if a resole will still be good enough to take a B2 crampon for winter climbing. Has anyone whos done this got any advice to offer?
