Any good sport climbing in the peak near Sheffield

Have a look on the crag maps under log books. That'll help.

Don't mention sport and grit in the same sentence round here though...

You'll find sport routes but, depending on what grades you are looking for, they won't all be good.

Some more info in your post or on your profile would help people give more useful answers like when are you looking to climb there, now or anytime in the future and what grade you're looking for.

There are sport routes that stay dry during the winter, but I can't commit any further than that. And most of the Peak is pretty near Sheffield. There are no sport routes on the Eastern gritstone edges near Sheffield - if you're new to climbing, this won't be a patronising statement of the bleedin' obvious, but in time...

If you're wanting to get climbing outside this time of year near Sheffield, then bouldering is what you want. Don't resist, it's fun and it improves your climbing no end. Get a pad and a guidebook and explore!
