Feeling inspired by the grade I winter routes list (http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?n=633440), I'm wondering when would be the safest time of year to book a winter climbing/skills course in UK? I'm guessing ideal weather would be very cold and the odd day of shit visibility to keep you on your toes; probably Jan or Feb?

In reply to humptydumpty:
February is ideal but Jan or Mar are both fine as long as you make it Scotland, probably Glenmore Lodge or a guide out of Aviemore or the Fort. I wouldn't risk PYB in Wales except at very short notice with guaranteed conditions.

You'll love it!!
