seeking advice from canadians re third party climbing insurance

hoping for advice from the canadians and canadian expats on here. Any advice for a canadian ice climber (not me) needing single trip third party insurance? most single trip travel insurance aimed at climbers appears to cover medical and rescue expenses but not Third Party Liability, which is the crucial issue for this trip Trying to help them find something, but Google keeps thwarting me by returning stuff open only to UK nationals

Have they tried speaking to the Alpine Club of Canada's insurance broker?

Yep I'd recommend the ACC for Canadian residents. Call or email the club at the HQ in Canmore, they're very helpful.
