Hi, I have not climbed in Swanage for a very long time and I have a bit of free time end of next week. My question is, is climbing around Swanage doable at this time of year. Will it be uncomfortable and cold even if the wind is down and the sun is out? I am thinking of going next weekend from the 18th - 21st and thinking of climbing dancing ledge, quarry and light house sort of area. Does anyone know of any good hostels or campsites near by?
The weather is looking good at the moment and I am staying optimistic!

You can climb all year around at Swanage! If the weather is ok it could even be t-shirt weather.

I'm not sure if Tom's Field is open this time of year for camping.

I was down on the cliff at Swanage today and had to take my fleece off as I was too hot, just look for wind in the north and clear skies. For a hostel try Swanage Auberge.

Thank you Jezb1. I had something like that in mind.
Tom's Field looks ideal

Cheers! Great info. Do you mean that the north wind is good because you are sheltered or just watch it as in ice cold? As I understand it, it is sheltered.

Yes north wind is good, it can be bitter in the car park and great on the cliff.
