Hi

We're looking for advice on the best place to base ourselves in the Costa Blanca for a couple of weeks? We don't want to stay by the coast and at the moment are looking at accommodation around Alcalali. Would that be a good place to base ourselves?

Any recommendations for must visit single pitch venues with a good spread of grades 6a to 7a+? We'll need to keep it pretty easy access as we'll have our daughter with us. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Will

We stayed here for a week, loved it, quiet close to some crags.

Yes, Alcalali and surrounding area (Jalon, etc) make an excellent base for exploring some excellent single pitch crags. The valley is beautiful, has a really good market on Saturdays (Jalon) too.
Crags: L' Ocaive; Alcalali; Murla; Font d'Axia all worth a visit.

Have a great time

Mark
