Our vision at Roc Up is to provide the best quality coaching trips available. We want to inspire the climbing community by giving them the chance to learn from not only the best coaches in the industry, but also the best climbers.
This winter we are introducing the first of our Pop Up sessions to the UK.
Our Pop Up sessions are all about bringing coaching to you at your local crags. We will be touring the UK over 2016/17 and popping up in various locations and crags offering morning and day coaching experiences with some of Britain’s best climbers and coaches.
Do you have some projects you want some help finishing off? Not sure where you are going wrong? Been climbing loads inside and want to get out? These are the sessions for you.
This winter we will be hosting our first Pop Up sessions on the iconic Gritsone of the Peak District. The Peak District is host to some of the best boulder problems in the UK and many find mastering the unique Gritsone a tough affair. This is where we step in.
In a Pop Up session you will get 3:1 group coaching as well as personal 1:1 analysis helping you understand how to master some of the fundamental techniques in climbing as well as getting you up the toughest test pieces the areas have to offer.
As always, our professional coaches will use video analysis to help you realise where you are going wrong and how to correct any errors preventing you from ticking off a specific problem. From very basic movement issues, to far more detailed mistakes that could be an issue of timing, engagement or physical weaknesses. Following your session on the rock, you will get a unique opportunity to sit down with your coaches and get a detailed explanation of how to move forward and what to focus on over the season and in your training in general.
To add to this, Roc Up have teamed up with the incredibly talented Liam Lonsdale (professional photographer) so that you will have the opportunity to get the best quality pictures of you climbing your hardest routes/boulders and have shots with your icons.
Our first Pop Up runs this Sunday 28th February 2016 and is a bouldering coaching session at Stanage Plantation and features in incredible Leah Crane and Pete Whittaker.
