A special talk in aid of charity
Community Action Nepal. Legendary mountaineer Doug Scott will be telling the story of how he and Dougal Haston made the first ascent of Everest by its massive SW Face over 40 years ago, making them the first Britons to stand on the summit. Their epic climb would go down in mountaineering history as ‘Everest the Hard Way’. This will be followed by an update on CAN's reconstruction of its projects, and the regeneration of the communities it serves, one year on from the catastrophic earthquake.
Tickets: £17.02 each (inc. booking fee), which entitles holder to a free drink on presentation of the ticket.
