Planning a trip to Snowdonia later in the year walking and climbing and wondering whether to buy the North Wales Classics Rockfax or North Wales Climbs Rockfax? I won't be getting up to North Wales loads unfortunately so just want an area guide with some good routes to have a go at in the mid grades. Any thoughts or recommendations?

I have Several CC guides but also would recomend the North Wales Classics "Pokketz" guide, which covers 8 of the main areas and is aimed at grades Mod - E3.
Also it has a small winter section in the back and does what it says on the tin i.e. fits in your pocket ( quite a small pocket at that)

The Ground Up North Wales Rock guide is excellent and a great size for carrying up multipitch routes.

Toss up between Ground Up and Rockfax guides. I've got both and both are good.

Rockfax maybe a little better for SP, being heavier too, while GU better for MP? Someone will probably rubbish that!

The Ground UP winter climbs is pants unless you climb about Grade 6 and above. Can't vouch for the rock one
