So, I have built a new trail/enduro bike but running a Maxxis Minion DHR Super Tacky seems a little extreme, what are the recommendations for a fast rolling, summer trail tyre?

I use a Specialised Purgatory (front) and Butcher (rear - a little more grip). Cheaper than the Maxxis.

They were recommended by my local bike shop and then I took the bike to the Bike Village in the alps and a few of the guides said they really rated them. I have used and abused them for a couple of years now as part of my secondary hobby.

Bontrager XR3 are underrated (make sure it's the team edition casing). I run an XR4 front and XR3 back all year round on a hardtail but like the extra grip up front.

I have just checked my bike and it is the other way round. The more grippy tyre is at the front. I am clearly not an expert in this field!

Schwalbe Rock Razor Super-Grav for the Rear

(I even ran one of these all winter in the Peak.)
