Hello.
Anyone been up coniston old man very recently.
I am heading up tomorrow expecting it all to be clear (of snow)
I see from the met office weather ground conditions site that there is snow on helvellyn - I assumed all snow was gone from lakes.
Does anyone have any v recent experience regarding coniston?

There was plenty of snow above 2000ft on Wednesday but nothing to prevent upward progress

Just had a look out of the back window, 99 % snow free.

One small patch below the top and remains of old cornice where it does not get much sun. HTH
