Accommodation in Sicily - self catering recommendations please

We are heading out to Sicily for a week cragging mid May. It'll be our first time on the island. Having read older posts in the forum I see that the San Vito Lo Capo area is much recommended. Can anyone recommend self catering apartments to rent, either in that area or beyond, if someone has found an alternative base that works well.

Hi. I stayed in a villa / apartment in a complex Issolida ( I think) . Got it off owners direct.
