Can anyone recommend a town or village or climbers bar to pick up a topi for Montserrat please.

Try El Bruc. There's a decent climbing shop with loads of guides, topos etc and I believe you can get hold of some at Bar Anna across the street too.

The book shop at the monastery also has a good selection of guides. It didn't have the new selective one when we were there but apparently they've since started stocking it.
