Totally alpine just now. In clear skies we managed to avoid a need for crampons (just) as far as a bivvy on Ghreadaidh but they were donned & needed for 2.5hrs the next morning with far more old snow towards north end and fresh overnight sprinkling. Being forced onto the crest instead of the wee ledges on day 1.
A few winter routes left in Coir' a' Bhasteir (Pinn Ridge gullies & Bhasteir face rtes on Gillean. On Am Basteir The Deadline & other lines then high on Ghreadaidh (Diagonal, Hamish's Chimney, eag Dubh).
Cioch routes baltic just now but by contrast the S facing crags on Alasdair & Sron na Ciche looked wonderful baking in the sun with not a dribble of damp to be seen.
