Does anyone know how to contact the Cabaña Verónica in the Picos Europa? I have booked the other huts, but this one seems impossible to contact. All the numbers on the web are unobtainable, including the one on the owning Federation's website!

A thread on here from 2009 seems to suggest there is always a bed and the gaurdian only accepts members of mountaineering clubs. Any other info would be great!

ALSO: The guides say you need sleeping bags, I assume this means the full down thingies, and not just a sheet sleeping bag. It will make a big difference to weight if jus a sheet bag is required.

Cant help but the 2009 thread could have been me. About 2005 it was very clear it wasn't really operating as a hut but simply selling drinks. The warden/vendor was very unhelpful.

The current guard is called Carlos. It is not possible to book a place, the Spanish site says it is only " de paso"
