Hello everyone, have anyone tried climbing in Vietnam, is this country ideal for climbing?

Yes! It's really good, I spent 3 weeks out there climbing a few years ago. I based myself on Cat Ba island in the bay - there are a number of crags on the island itself, some walking distance and some a short scooter ride from town, plus you can hire a boat or go on an organised DWS trip if that's what you're into.

I found it all pretty easy to organise, just head to the island and then I met people at Slo Pony ( the climbing shop). Stay with Mr Khan at the hair salon on the front, he's a good guy and will help with scooter hire and any other bits you need. I'd definitely recommend it, one of my most fun climbing trips ever! PM me if you want any more details...
