i've noticed a lot of these appearing on utube recently with grid refs. has anyone else noticed their favourite wild spots being used more frequently?

Well, given that people don't like cutting there own steps in the snow. It's hardly surprising to see people watching a video with a location of a good site, and poaching it.
It means people seek affirmation from others to feel like they are allowed to be there.
Knowing someone else has camped there probably gives them the confidence to be there.

i guess the really sad thing is watching them, although there are a few wildcampers/bushcrafters that do some educational stuff. i've even bought an inflatable kakak, inspired by fellwalker's ullwater trip
