Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap overnight stay in the Llanymynech Quarry area. And also a suggestion for another venue option in that area.

the obvious alternative venues are the the crags in the Eglwyseg valley above Llangollen

There is travelodge type place in Oswestry, if you want to be walking distance to Llanymynech there are a couple of B&Bs in Pant which Tourist Information should have the names of. Or there is camping right by the Llanymynech Rocks https://underhillfarm.org/stay-at-underhill/camping/
