Has anyone been out here to climb. I'll be arriving in November to Trek but it seems, like there are a few peaks that could easily be tackled without me having to lugg all my mountaineering equip to out with me. Has anyone got any specific suggestions of experience of the area?

Cheers

Hard to say without more information about your climbing. There are plenty of bouldering and sport routes in the vicinity if you don't feel up to tackling the big stuff. There's a copy of the local guide in one of the climbing shops and they are happy for you to take photos of it. More info can be gained by chatting to the other climbers out there too. But even hiking around El Chalten has many rewards. Its an amazing place. Enjoy and good luck with the weather.

Rolo's website I'd reckon is your best bet.

Faling that, if you don't want to take any mountaineering gear (though you could likely hire locally), Cerro Madsen I found good fun (c.2004). It's above Laguna de Los Tres.
