Hey all,

I'm looking to replace my Velum jacket which is now barely in one piece. Does anyone have any experience with Alpkit's waterproof jackets? Looking in particular at the Pulsar smock:

not with the pulsar, but i just got a balance and it's GREAT! No fuss, well designed, very breathable, totally waterproof so far (it's only a month old). Can't fault it, the best i've had and really good value. Only thing is the chest sizing isn't generous so take a look at their measurement chart..

Got the balance jacket and it is bloody brilliant. Probably the best jacket I have ever owned (must admit I've never spent 100s on a jacket though). Think I paid £120 for it but wouldn't pay the £175 they are now asking for it (or for any jacket)
