Cheap accommodation Braemar

Can anyone recommend a bunkhouse / hostel on the southern side of the Cairngorms please.

Not after anything fancy but an affordable / cheap room for one for this winter.

Preferably as accessible as possible to the mountains as I'm wanting to clock up winter ML days and mix it in with some wild camps.

Your best bets in Braemar are probably the Youth Hostel or Rucksacks Braemar, although you can often get a good deal at the Invercauld Hotel too. The other option, up the Dee and with good access to hills, is the Cairngorm Club's Muir Cottage at Inverey. This does require membership, however, of the club or other affiliated organisation.

The SYHA will be closed till ~Feb (group bookings only).
