I am going on a climbing trip to Zillertal (5th-13th September) and I´m wondering if it is enough to arrive with one crash pad? hoping to find more climbers in the are to join crash pads.
You can rent them at the climbing centre if you don't find others to team up with and share pads. I went last year and didn't have any pads with me. Hired one at the climbing centre and managed ok with just one pad at Sundergrund and Kaseler Alm (generally more flat grassy landings). It was a lot harder to find problems that felt safe with one pad at Ginzling Wald.
No I just turned up and asked at reception. I can't remember what size I borrowed but I think it was somewhere in the middle. They showed me all the options and how much they cost.
