Not sure how helpful a specific warning is! I nearly stepped on one walking off Crag W last year. Some choice words were exclaimed as it shot off at high speed.
We're usually in the habit of talking loud and tossing pebbles ahead during the afternoons when our snakey friends are warming up in, but this was our last and 6th day of long routes and were too focused on getting back to the car.
