I treated mu mammut genesis with the stuff bout a year ago and have had no problems, its not as efficient as one that comes from the manufacturer pre-treated. Had no probs on the ben this winter, but never had it anywhere colder, definately didn't make the rope sticky, but took an age to dry out after treating it. Hope this helps
