Many people in the UK will already be aware of the current postal disputes. This has slowed things down a little bit, especially for those folk living in London, however we have been down to our sorting office and we have seen with our own eyes that there is no backlog to delay Alpkit orders! Over the past two weeks of industrial action we have taken steps to ensure that our post has been delivered to our sorting office each and every day, and we can proudly say that we have never missed a pickup.
Guarantee your delivery next day with CityLink courier services
If your order is over 2kg it will be sent by CityLink courier as standard, you don't need to pay anything just place your order and we will do the rest. This is a next working day service and is unaffected by the postal dispute. (Example +2kg parcels include: 2 x Airic or 2 x Fat Airic.) To help the order flow during the period of industrial action all orders under 2kg which include sleeping bags will also be sent by courier.
If you know your order is under 2kg and you need it next day we can upgrade you to a next working day service with CityLink for an extra £4. We shall use CityLink (Next Day 07.30-17.30) for all next day deliveries instead of Royal Mail during this period of uncertainty.
IMPORTANT - Please make sure someone will be available to sign for your CityLink delivery (this can be your work address). If this is not possible the courier will leave a card at your premises and you can arrange to pick it up from your local CityLink depot at no cost. The cost of the first delivery attempt is on us, however there is a charge of £6 for a second attempt if you cannot get to the depot. Obviously it is easier for everyone if you plan your delivery before placing your order.
Remember, if you order:
